As a brand ‘Rubicon Wales’, our ongoing commitment to providing community benefits is to always use Welsh based companies wherever it’s possible to do so. From sourcing our staff uniform and printing to employing local windscreen repairers to maintain our fleet of vehicles.

Furthermore, the companies that make up the Rubicon Wales brand - Rubicon Facilities Management and its sister company Rubicon Training, continue to provide industry specific community benefits to boost our Welsh communities!

Since 2016, Rubicon Facilities Management has provided over 9,000 work experience hours to individuals who have the desire to join the industry but are lacking the experience a lot of employers stipulate is a requirement when looking to apply with them.

The recruitment team of Rubicon Facilities Management has also invested in excess of over 370 hours annually attending local jobs fairs in Welsh communities, but our aim is to do so much more in this area when social distancing restrictions are a thing of the past.

Similarly, Rubicon Facilities Management’s sister company Rubicon Training continues to offer vocational training opportunities in communities that have a high percentage of NEET individuals.

Since 2018 Rubicon Training has provided the following vocational training hours to specifically the NEETs of Welsh communities.

Rubicon Facilities Management and Rubicon Training’s synergistic approach has provided many individuals a pathway to employment! We pride ourselves on supporting individuals we engage with, to provide a clear route to better their future prospects!

SALVATION ARMY PRESENT APPEAL - DECEMBER 2020

In late 2020, we chose to support the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal which ensures thousands of children in the UK will wake up to a small surprise under the tree on Christmas Day.

We donated over 500 brand new toys, gifts and food items to those less fortunate. This helped provide Christmas joy to some of the 235 families and 422 children in the local area.

In 2020, we joined forces with a few other donators to cover costs of selection boxes delivered to a very tight community.

Penybryn Hall in Hengoed have taken on the task of planning and arranging this. In the true spirit of Christmas, Santa hand delivered the selection boxes to the community to in turn, put very big smiles on a number of children’s faces.

LLANTWIT FARDRE RFC KIT SPONSOR - AUGUST 2020

In early 2020, we were approached by a representative of Llantwit Fardre RFC who informed us that their proposed U13’s kit sponsor were no longer in a position to support them as a result of the financial implications that were placed upon them due to Covid-19.

Although our community benefit budget was already spent, the decision was taken to overspend in this area and provide full kit for twenty one players, for what we believe is such a worthy cause.

Exercise of this nature provides mental, physical and social benefits that can last a lifetime and we will always do what we can to support young people to thrive!

Nobody can argue that NHS do a sterling job, but never in our lifetime have they had the deal with a worldwide pandemic.

When we were approached for sponsorship support shortly after the pandemic started, there was no hesitation in our decision to support such a worthy cause.

48 inspirational people, run 500km in 48 hours! Everyone that participated, run for an hour slot, with these hour slots occurring continuously throughout 48 hour period.

The donation went directly to Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board who utilises donations received for patient welfare and amenities, purchase of equipment and staff education and welfare.

With a target of £5,000, it was no surprise that the 48 unsung heroes managed to smash their target and over £16,000.

WELSH ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP - JAN 2020

In January 2020 we supported Kris Edwards, a Cage Warriors athlete for his then upcoming bout on Friday 20th March 2020.

Our Managing and Operations Director are team mates of Kris at Shore Mixed Martial Arts and see first hand the hard work he puts in alongside the passion he has for Mixed Martial arts.

Unfortunately, James Hendin defeated Kris Edwards via unanimous decision, but Kris’ journey is never halted and he continues to push on.
